Benjamin Moore Color
benjamin moore
On this page, you’ll see three different projects that we did with Benjamin Moore to highlight how
they look at color differently than other paint companies
color project 1
"live with it first"
Every paint company wants to inspire customers with their colors so they’ll ultimately buy a can of paint. Our approach was
to not justinspire but to solve a common paint problem: Paint Color Regret. It happens when paint customers pick a color,
then paint it on their wall only to realize they hate it.
We created a highly-customized banner ad tool called “Live with it First” that used a twist on retargeting to help people live
with a color before they paint it on their walls, providing both inspiration and a way to avoid Paint Color Regret.
RESULTS
We earned an interaction rate 30% higher than the national digital benchmark. And, when people live with a color before
they buy, they are much more likely to love their color, instead of feeling Paint Color Regret.

"color home" chrome extension
Paint customers searching for color inspiration usually scour sites like Pinterest or Houzz. So, we wanted to get Benjamin Moore paint in front of them
before they could even get to those sites. In partnership with HGTV we created the Color Home Google Chrome extension. With it installed, every time a new tab
is opened in Chrome, instead of seeing a boring Google search bar, you’ll see a beautifully designed room featuring Benjamin Moore paint colors.
So, rather than looking for inspiration, inspiration finds you.

color project 3
"black & white color" print
Benjamin Moore cares more about paint color than any other brand. We thought the best way to say that was to run ads in black and white.
Not only do the ads highlight Benjamin Moore’s color obsession, but they stood out in color-saturated magazines like
Architectural Digest and Better Homes & Gardens.
